The Life

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Without God, there cannot be any life. God has always been here and is therefore THE LIFE. Only life forms can create additional life forms. We can only create because he first created us, in HIS image.

If he designed and created all of life, then it is only right and fair that he has complete ownership and is in total control of it. Since he has total control, it is up to him what can and cannot be allowed.

A question was once posed that if God is so loving, then why did he not only allow, but command the hostilities and killing in the Old Testament times?

God knows all things, from the beginning to the end of all creation. He already knew from before you were born, whether you would choose him or yourself. Even though God is loving beyond all measure, he is also Just beyond all measure.

Many churches only teach the Love part and neglect the Just part. You simply can't do that, because you are only teaching HALF the Truth. Even a half-truth, is a whole lie.

Okay, so how does that affect you and me?

Let’s say that someone took the life of a close friend or relative of yours. The murderer was caught red-handed and is facing a trial by judge.

The evidence cannot be denied that the murder was committed by him. All evidence is placed in front of the Judge for review and she agrees finds the defendant guilty as charged. Then, the Judge shocks the court room by announcing that the defendant will not be sentenced to any jail time, counseling, probation and even community service won't be required. She simply sets him free. When asked why, she says that she loves all people the same and could never sentence anyone to death or punishment.
