On the side, one of the objections that people have is why God would choose to torture people for an eternity, just because they are not interested in a relationship with him. This is misunderstood. The bible does not say that there is torture in Hell. The word torment is used to describe that circumstance.

Luke 16:19-31 "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried.

In hell, where he was in TORMENT, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.'

But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'

He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of TORMENT.'

Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.' 'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.' "

And also here:

Rev 14:9-11 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be TORMENTED with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their TORMENT rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."

(The emphasis is mine, in the above passages.)

One definition of torment is described as, intense feelings of suffering; acute mental or physical pain.

If you end up in Hell, you will not be in communion with God, nor will you be in contact with anyone else!

When you choose your own distorted view of the truth, you are choosing self. Since you are choosing to live in eternity by yourself, then that is precisely the way it will be. You will be alone. Torment, in this case, can only come from within.

If you experience suffering through mental or physical pain, it is completely self inflicted as you continually remember the choice you made. You will not be physically tortured by whips and chains and other devious methods of inflicting pain. There is sulfur and fire in Hell, but that is the environment as it was created. These things will obviously cause great pain, but it will not be used as a form of torture. Satan will not be hanging you by your feet, dipping your head into the lake of fire and laughing maniacally, while doing so. These things simply exist where you will be and their very nature is incompatible with human flesh.

Remember, YOU are choosing to be there, by choosing not to be with God. YOU have no-one to blame but yourself!

Don't let this happen to you!

Now that you understand The Truth, you need to see why Jesus is The Way.
