The Truth
John 18:38 "What is
truth?" Pilate asked. With this he went out again to the Jews and said, "I find no basis for a charge against
him."
There are several definitions of Truth, one being; “Sincerity
in action, character, and utterance...the body of a real thing... a judgment...that is true or accepted as
true.”
Truth is really a kind of absence, in fact, Truth IS the complete and total Absence
of falseness.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the TRUTH and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through me." (Emphasis mine)
Well, if Jesus IS the Truth, then how can we relate
the above definition?

If you can, picture him as a vast ocean of crystal clear,
unsalted water with no pollutants or boundaries, at all, and flawless in every way. Grab a glass and fill it with
water and swallow it. Rejuvenating, thirst quenching and life giving, right? Of course! Now, put a little bit of
falseness, as in cyanide, into the same glass of water. It is just about indistinguishable from the rest of the
contents of the glass but has completely changed and is ultimately unconsumable, without causing
death!!
In essence, this new glass of water is no longer representing
the first glass of water and cannot be considered the truth. The truth has been replaced with falseness, right in
front of you. The two are not able to exist at the same time.
Similarly, God is pure, has no boundaries and is
perfect in every way. It is not possible for him to be replaced with falseness. In truth, falseness is unable to
be where God is because he cannot be changed, so the falseness would be destroyed.
In this fallen world, falseness obscures the truth from us, but it does reveal just
enough to deceive us into believing that IT is the truth.
Gen
2:16-17 And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are
free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and
evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
Sin equals Falseness and will inevitably cause your body to
die. It is for this reason that we cannot be in direct contact with God because we would be destroyed instantly.
Being that he is a loving God, he does not want to destroy you. He wants to have a relationship with you, but he
will not force you to accept him. He gives you the freedom of choice, to choose him or to continue living by your
own distorted perspective of the truth.
Due to his great love for you, his sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, allows you to
live for all eternity. If you decide to sincerely accept his relationship invitation, then you will live in
eternity with him. If you reject that invitation, then you have chosen yourself and will still live for an
eternity, but will be apart from him and all by your lonesome.
A place has already been created and set apart for Satan (Lucifer) and his fallen
angels (demons) to live because of their decision to abide by their own desires. This place has already been
manufactured so God doesn't have any reason to build an additional dwelling place for the ones that have decided to
follow the same route. This place is referred to as Hell, among other names.
